It is located in the centre of Dumlupınar, at 59 km north - west of Afyonkarahisar. Its construction began in 1990 and was completed in 1996, and its official inauguration was held in Victory Week in 1997. The museum, which is located in the landscape area of Dumlupınar Monument, is a duplex.

It is in the centre of Bolvadin which is located 60km east of Afyon. The building, which had been established as Municipal cinema and then used as Municipal Culture Centre Centre, was rearranged as Municipality Museum in 1987 with the decision of Bolvadin Municipality Council.
As a result of the activities of Asar-ı Atika Muhipleri Cemiyeti (Association of Ancient Monuments) in the first years of the Republic, Gedik Ahmet Pasha School (Muslim theological school) (Taş Madrasa) was made a storage area where the old works are stored.
Its modern building was built in 1982 and after this date it began to serve in a building of its own. The museum building was established at the most beautiful location of the centre and it is a single floor building erected over a basement, with a huge garden. The monuments are exhibited in two big halls, in the inner hall connecting these halls and in the inner garden. The museum has become the richest museum of the region
